ING’s Equity Capital Markets Syndicate team currently has a vacant internship position with starting date as per December 2021 / January 2022 with a duration of 5 to 6 months (to be agreed upon).

ING’s Equity Capital Markets team

Equity Capital Markets (ECM) is part of the Corporate Finance (CF) department and advises companies on equity raising on international stock markets. Products covered by ECM include Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), follow-on equity issuances and secondary offerings (i.e. rights issues or accelerated bookbuild offering), share buybacks, preference shares issuances and equity-linked transactions (convertible bonds). Together with our Financial Markets teams (i.e. Equity Research, Equity Sales, Sales & Trading, Corporate Access, and more), we originate, structure, execute and distribute equity and equity-linked deals to institutional investors (e.g. pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds) and Benelux retail investors.

ECM Syndicate is an integral part of the ECM team and is responsible for market execution and distribution of global ECM deals. The Syndicate desk can be seen as linking pin between relevant stakeholders such as the issuer, CF and Financial Markets teams, and institutional investors. Our team is located in Amsterdam.

  • General origination support, e.g. providing market intelligence reports and real-time data, assisting with pitches
  • Communication with local Equity Research, Sales & Trading and Sales teams regarding global deals
  • Assist in organisation of (pre-)marketing for global ECM transactions
  • Assist in organisation of pre-launch activities for global ECM transactions
  • Execution of share buyback and disposal transactions
  • Deal administration for global ECM deals
