Business | Industrial Engineering Internship: Re-design Logistics network

The assignment is divided into two parts which can run in parallel. The aim of the assignment is to perform cost and performance (lead-time) analysis of the current replenishment via central warehouse (Global Distribution Center) to field warehouses. During this internship you will be expected to:Part 1

  • Define alternative scenarios taking into account cost of operations ( freight, duties, warehousing, inventory) but also service level agreements with ASML customers;
  • Provide scenario comparison and suggestion for the best solution.

Part 2

  • Perform comparison between current available ASML Sourcing &Supply Chain, Logistics Service Operations software tooling, used for network design studies, versus market available network design software tooling;
  • Take into account both total cost of ownership, complexity of use and match with ASML requirements;
  • Provide recommendation for a software selection.

Wie is ASML

Your role is positioned in the LSO (Logistics Service Operations), Goods Flow Excellence department within the Supply Chain Management of ASML. It provides professional services to ensure a structured, controlled and transparent flow of goods through our logistic network by standardization. It is responsible for standardizing and optimizing goods flows in between our logistics nodes. Next to that, data analysis on key elements and continuous improvement to increase efficiency, are also some of the important tasks.
